Aloha, my 4 year old has some extra deep scute lines. Is the normal or the beginning of shell rot?

I took in two males at the beginning of this year. They came with damage to their shells. I’m only assuming due to low heat lamps. one main top scute is about to fall off. Now I know when it happens it happens. But I had a question as to if there is anything I can apply to the exposed “dead”...

Haven’t noticed in the last 2 weeks but it seems like a few layers of his scute are drying out.. Soaking 2-3 times a week. If no soak then at least a spray down with hose or mister. The top of his head seems to be slightly peeling, I assume it’s due to growth.
