I have, and it's not to hard. I had a smaller one and keep my dbts in it it was like 6x4 little under 2 feet deep. I used ply wood tho and two by fours and then pond lined it. Made a DIY filter. Just make sure if you building on your deck, that your deck can handle the weight. Google aquarium calculator, but the dimensions of your enclosure you plan to make, and then find how many gallons, then you can find out the weight. Think it's about 8lbs a gallon for water.
