Cactus for sale and Smart and Final "Extra!"

I don't know how widespread this concept is yet but in California we are seeing a number of Smart and Final stores rebranded as "Extra!" Extra including more produce in general and more "high end" produce.

I was in one yesterday and noticed they had sliced cactus for sale: $2.99/lb. It wasn't fresh off the farm cactus but not too bad looking.

That is waaaaay to much cactus for one Russian but if you've got a bigger tortoise, a heap of tortoises, or you really really really want to find some cactus for your own tiny Russian, you might take a look.

Wow, that's expensive. .98 cents a pound here and it all has to be flown in. No growing it here. But, I guess if you don't have your own, it's a source.

It definitely is expensive. But given how many owners want to feed it and can't find it, it might be worth the investment now and then. :)
