I'm not sure what an "English Pea Plant" is. I tried to Google it, but only came up with peas.

I think they are just peas. Got them from a lady who bought organic peas at the store and they sprouted in her fridge LOL.
They are ready to plant but I've been told they won't produce peas in the heat and will only produce in the winter months here.
But if they are tort edible I'll plant them so the torts can munch on the plant, I don't care about pea production.

Oops. Just read they aren't a tortoise food. Darn.
I had hoped the leaves would be ok. I knew the pea itself wasn't because legumes have so much phytic acid and I don't even eat many legumes for the same reason, and when I do, they are soaked and cooked.
