I don't like to rain on your parade but hand feeding is not something I would recommend on a regular basis. It's a good way to train a tortoise to bite your fingers as it starts associating them with food.

i agree ^^^ my Russian didn't even care anymore that he kept biting me so i stopped completely lol another fun thing is to use a food bag clip and clip some food to the side of the enclosure. you could lead the tort there with the greens then clip it up when it gets smaller.
