this still confuses me....i have a 24" reptisun 10.0 fluorescent bulb but no fixture, do i have to purchase a zoomed or exoterra hood (or any reptile brand) for it to emit the ubv rays? or will any 30" t8 fluorescent fixture work? like one from home depot? i don't want to spend 50$ plus shipping...i bought the bulb on accident and now want to use it.

Yes. Any fixture will work. I mounted an inexpensive fixture (for a tube fluorescent) on a long enough piece of wood (4"x1") covered with aluminum foil. Set it light facing down on the enclosure and plug it in.
