After trying various names for this Greek Boy, we've opted to give him an Italian name. My DH refers to him as "Googooz" ( sounds like goo gootza ). It is an Italian term of endearment, but literally is the name for types of squash, LOL / Little Googooza! Sort of like the French Mon Petite Chou..."My little cabbage"...

Nobody ever said he has to have a Greek name. I tried that when I first got mine and it is not an easy job nor do they necessarily fit the tort. Little Googooza is a cute and fine name. :D

I love the name Googooz :D I find it very cute. My fiance is italian and when I told him about your idea of calling your tort Googooz, he told me ''what a cute name for a tortoise'' :D
