Anything for our tortoises! I sometimes feel weird foraging for weeds in the forests nearby but I will endure some weird looks for Edward any day.
Same here. We mostly harvest from land which belongs to my family, but wild roses and bergamot are adjacent to an old highway. Passing motorists always give me strange looks while I forage.

At present, we have a ridiculous number/variety of wildflowers to choose from. Heavy rainfall is the most plausible explanation...

One particular honeysuckle vine and our tulip magnolia rebloomed, which is a pleasant surprise for everyone...

Bergamot and Echinacea have run their course since these pictures were taken. Two species of Coreopsis (Lanceleaf and Plains) are still flowering. So is red clover, but we rarely see that nearby.

Olive never wastes more than a stray petal or wilted leaf. Hopefully she won't refuse dried flower mix later this year. 🤞
