Planting seeds in a Vivarium?

Hi i live in the uk and it is now spring so i am thinking about planting some seeds but i was also thinking about planting some in Daves vivarium so then he can go and get his own fresh food, is this possible and safe?

If you have soil as a substrate and the seeds can get UV light and you water them then yes I think it's possible.
Although he will probably eat them as soon as they sprout so they won't get chance to grow much ;)

that is a good point haha i think i will stick to growing them in the garden. is there any type of plant you would recomend?

What species do you have? Hibiscus seems a popular choice although they're so expensive to buy in the uk and seeds are hard to grow. I have a weed seed mix and am about to grow dandelions.
