Just wondering, how is this a "reposted ad" if I did not take it from Craigslist or anything? Yes, I got the adoption info from the shelter's website, but these ads usually stay in the "adoptions" section.

I called. They said to call back tomorrow. They need to find out if it needs a special permit. I asked how it was being kept and he said he didn't know. I when to the web site and could not find the picture. They were not very helpful.

Why do they always put "Brown Tortoise"? They're a shelter don't they know it's a DT? Looks to be sleeping to me. A little bit pyramided.

I agree lt looks awful pyramided. I guess Fish and game will comfirm what it is and then if they decided it is a CDT it will need a permit. Does anyone know what that prosess is? My yard is really not ready for a big tort, but I don't want him to go to someone that is clueless.

They usually call the local CTTC since fish and game has turned over all licensing to them.

Its a pretty sad-looking desert tortoise alright. He's not had very good care. It takes a lot to make a desert tortoise grow like that. He's also very thin. Look at his legs above the elbow.

the put brown tort, cuz thier software program doesnt offer any other sugestions.
There are times when Im checking in a simple critter.. and the right choice isnt there.. so i chose one that is.. like Brown Bear...! HA!
