turtle lingo

As I'm searching for a box turtle... what do the numbers mean - I see them in signatures and also have just seen it in a listing on CL..

It stands for male.female.unknown

So if you see 3.5.1 it would mean 3 males, 5 females and 1 baby of unknown sex. Sometimes you MAY see a fourth number after the baby number, meaning how many eggs are in the incubator.
