Which species? Help Please :)

Hi, I'm new to the forum & i'm asking for some advice with regards to what species you think this tortoise is.
I work as a nurse in a vets in the UK and this little guy was brought in found wandering in the middle of the road & no owners have come forward.
I would like to home him, however need an idea of what he might be so I can ensure we select the right environment & diet for him.

Can you give us a shot of his plastron and tail please?

He is one of the Testudo and needs a diet of leafy greens. No fruit as they can't digest sugars properly.

Once I get to something better than my phone, I will take a closer look and post some links for you (unless someone beats me to it )

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

I agree with JoesMum, probably Testudo hermanni. We have a very good care sheet pinned at the to of our hermann's section.

(His beak could stand to be filed down a bit)
