Hello my name is Ralph and I'm planning to buy a tortoise don't know what type but I guest a red foot.So my question is can I keep my tortoise in room temp outdoor because I can't find some special bulb like uvb and stuffs and Philippines is a very hot tropical place

Temp here in philippines range from 21-34°c humidity:55 below
My problem here is when monsoon season comes it get cold here

Thank you guys but I made my decision, I wont be getting tortoise because my parents can't afford it because its so expensive it cost 30,000 and I dads salary is only 5,000

You might look into rescuing one. Here in the states we have something called craigslist.com. People post all kinds of things they want to buy, sell, give away and this includes turtles and tortoises. Don't give up your dream due to money. You'll figure it out, I'm sure.

Hi Ralph sorry you have to put your tort on hold for now, but you are obviously a responsible young person otherwise you wouldn't be here researching. Yes they are expensive - not just to buy the tort but also all the equipment etc. Maybe in the future you'll get one or be able to rescue an unwanted tort from someone else, so keep reading and asking questions here and learn lots so that when you can have one you will already have some idea of what's involved.
