My tort only travels to the vet. She would poop pretty much every time in her first travel bag when we travelled. She doesn’t poop near as much since I made her the new much larger bag.
The lines around each scute (think of a scute as one of the “tiles” comprising your tort’s shell) are growth lines. Kind of like the growth lines on a tree trunk cross section. My tortoise’s new growth showed up as whitish then would turn dark.

When you soak your baby in warm tap water, add some carrot baby food to that water so that your tort can get some nutrients as well.

Baby tortoises definitely need those daily soaks. I still soak my six-year-old cherryhead daily. I don’t know that I need to, but I figure it can’t hurt either.
I ended up going through two House of Hydro setups. I may have done something wrong because they only lasted about one year each time.
I bought an Evergreen pet supplies fogger, which is cheaper, quieter, and is still running after almost three years. It doesn’t have near the output though.
