    Tortoise back feet nails

My tortoise’s back leg toe nails have some pretty elongated scales around it and I was wondering if this is due to his toe nails getting too long? I’m wondering if this is normal or if this means something other than needing his nails clipped! Let me know your thoughts!

Hello, I realize this post is from a long time ago, but my golden greek tortoise is also dealing with pneumonia and I want to know how you used the nebulizer? Did the vet provide you with one? I want to try the same treatment on my tortoise as well since she’s been dealing with pneumonia for...

    pneumonia progress

I bought a bearded dragon long before peaches was sick, and I could afford him. Yes the tank is a bit too small but I feel like symptoms would’ve showed up in a happy healthy tortoise sooner than 11 years. I got rid of the blanket but the towel will remain, it’s not hurting him. The gauge is by...

    pneumonia progress

the light are off for the night in this but this is her enclosure, it will be much different soon once I move. Is reptibark a good substrate? I’m wondering if that’s what caused the pneumonia because it’s so dusty.

    pneumonia progress

she’s a golden Greek tortoise. she’s in like a 15 gallon. Temp usually is overall high 80s and her basking temp is 97-ish. At night it gets about 74-ish. It’s a standard enclosure with reptibark and a log to sleep in. Although after having to do with this for over a year, I know that the...

    pneumonia progress

Hello everyone! Peaches has been dealing with pneumonia and the shots she’d been prescribed having been working well. Although after I ease her off them when I think she is fully better, she has some minor signs still. This includes watery looking eyes when she wakes up, noisy breathing, and...

    pneumonia

hello everyone, I’ve gotten in contact with the vet again and she has come to the conclusion that my tortoise peaches has pneumonia. All the symptoms seem to be related to calcium deficiency as well as respiratory infection. I have gotten her calcium levels regulated again, and she has pooped...
