    Hi looking to adopt

Welcome to the forum! I have seen posts pop up for adoptions on the forum under the marketplace index. Not very often though... I'm sure that if you check often you will eventually find something. They don't last long though... So check often. If you are like me and are impatient as hell once...

    new here

Welcome to the forum! Here are two forum threads that I found very useful when starting out... These were both put up by Tom who is on a mission to discover and spread knowledge about proper tortoise care. I recommend looking through his posts whenever you have questions. I hope they help...

    Gpp Time!

I'd like to pick one if I can. I have attached the pic you provided with my 2 favorites circled. Let me know if this will be a problem. Thanks! For some reason I cannot view this image with windows picture viewer. If you have the same problem windows paint opens it just fine... just save it...

Introducing the Mighty Shelldor! Tremble puny humans!!

No they are both gpp. I bought my first one from Tom ( http://www.tortoiseforum.org/User-Tom#axzz1YnL3tOBf ) whom I met on here. [hr] LOL! I hadn't noticed that, but now that you have pointed it out I have noticed another right above it =) Although this one looks a bit more spooky ;) [hr]...

Introducing the Mighty Shelldor! Tremble puny humans!!

i'm not fully sure the order but it is the #'s of adult males and females then babies. not sure if males or females are first. so if you have 2 males 3 females and 5 babies of a species it would go something like 2.3.5 or 3.2.5. again i'm not sure on the exact order except that babies go last ;)

Introducing the Mighty Shelldor! Tremble puny humans!!

We received Shelldor yesterday from Ben Siegel Reptiles in Florida. He weighs in at 43 grams and I just realized that I haven't measured him yet. He has great coloration and his skin is way more speckled than our first. He is very different from our first tort. He seems to be fearless and very...

    Zoomed Tortoise Block

I am going to give this a try. I have tried cuttle bone and my tort didn't touch it much. She gets a good sized pinch of calcium powder w/o D3 daily. I'm thinking of this tort block as more of a healthy treat and beak cleaner...

    Hello Everyone!

I have been a member for almost a year now but procrastinated over posting an intro... So my fiancee and I decided to get a tort last August and after searching around on here I managed to find Tom who convinced me that a Gpp leo was the way to go. My fiancee wanted a sulcata but the leo's just...

    2010 South African Leopard Thread.

Here is my yearling tort from that group. She is 242 g and 9.5 cm (3.7"). I think that her shell is pretty smooth but as a noob I could be wrong.
