    Need ID

Thank you so much. I would not have thought a veg eater so that's great to know....I'll just maintain temps and humidity as is usual for their native lands until I can find what to do with him.

That's what I was afraid of. Even native, wild animals usually aren't ethical to be released if you don't know exactly where they come from and I certainly wouldn't want it euthanized. Thanks for your thoughts on it.

    Redfoot

Thank you so much. I know this one LOVES fruits so I offer readily on the days I feed in addition to the safe weeds and store bought greens and will offer protein more often as she most likely doesn't get when I'm not there. I'm planning outdoor time of about 1-2 hours /day as the weather...

    Redfoot

I volunteer at a refuge - we have a 15-18 month old Redfoot and have been offering live protein (worms, mealworms, phoenix worms) every other week. I've never seen her eat them and find them later in substrate. Wondering best protein sources (I fed egg yesterday and it disappeared quickly) and...

I've had done plain Ca but changed to the Minerall after reading it could be other elements missing ...I'll drop the MinerAll down to 2 times/week and use plain Ca rest of time. I'll also try the Grassland (Eric mentioned it too)...I know with the other torts I work with (at rescue) the only...

I offer mulberry leaves, cactus (won't eat except the flower), clover, narrow and broad leaf plantain, dandelion, rose of sharon (she eats the flowers but won't eat the leaves), snapdragon, mache, violets, grape leaves- - others I offer when I find when out walking. During winter the only weeds...

    Eating rocks? Dirt

TooToo (cause "she's" TooTooMuch) is a 2.5-3 year old Hermann's who I've had since surrendered at about 9 months old. I've followed the care sheet to my best effort - Variable weed, greens diet following the Tort table (LS tort food a bit during winter), Heat mid 60s at night, cool side 70-80...

What kind of tortoise is this?

What would make the lower beak jut out like that. I’ve only seen the upper beak overgrown?
