-the way i see it- a tortoise in the wild would rub up against all kinds of plants. these plants secrete oils... as long as it is used properly, or even used even more sparingly than recommended couldnt be harmful.

Ive read that red foots can eat aloe vera plants. how would i feed it to them. im guessing id cut off the little spikes. do i leave the skin on, or do they only eat the slimy middle part?
