Hi,
Its with great regret that i have to post this, but i am looking to re-home my Peanut. I have Multiple Sclerosis that has started to progress, and before i get into a critical situation, i would like to know if any sulcata owners in the Ohio/PA area are interested in adopting. Free, of...
i do the same with the coconut oil, just a dab. And i use a toothbrush and give her shell a soft scrub periodically. Only the legs if she is really dirty.
Thank you!! Its fun to watch her confidence grow and i hate to say "personality" but her natural tortie attitude change!! and she has attitude....stubborn..persistent..ingenious at times!!
Peanut turned two Dec 21, and clocked 1150 grams. She is still active and curious. Seems really content with her life, although she gets irritated if i rearrange her space.
I notice sometimes she eats her own poop. Not sure if that is normal or not.
Had to get her a dishpan for her new bath.
I have two cats that are rescues (both came to me declawed). They never bother my tort, and one likes to sit next to Peanut when she takes her soak. I think they find her interesting but not a threat, she doesn't move fast enough for them to think she is a toy or eat anything they find appetizing.
Peanut (19 months) in her outside house, (which is a large baby pool, planted, this year) She is enjoying the summer, spends all morning grazing, then a bit of lounging in her water bowl, then a long nap in her shade spot, and wakes up in the evening to repeat the pattern. She is eating like a...
My baby Peanut made a "quack" one day when she was getting a bath, it scared us both it was so loud. I think it was a burp. She will sometimes make a clicking noise, and i can see it comes from her neck. Godfrey (the old fellow) burps, farts, and grunts all the time. He is very vocal. So i don't...
Godfrey (the big guy at 45 lbs) has rammed me a few times. I can tell when he is going to, he kind of gets up on his toes and rocks back and forth then lunges. It's when i am in his way, and we kind of have a stand off, where he will try to push me, and then give up. It's cute. But, even better...
when i adopted Peanut from a pet shop that kept her in a dry enclosure, she was 11 months old and only weighed 140 grams. I am happy to say now at 19 months she is 596 grams (1 pound 5 ounces). I would weigh her once a week when she was a "baby" and her weight would go up and down 2 grams or...
I have been offline line the last two months and it's great to be back reading the forum. For those interested below is a Peanut update. (Peanut had a bad beginning in a pet store kept in a sand enclosure) She was 11 months old and around 140 grams.
I am happy to report that her pyramiding does...
Good points! thank you. The school is only a few blocks away. I am thinking to use a collapsible playpen to get things going. Godfrey is very social. His only flaw that I know if is the color red or yellow. He can get quite stubborn about having to investigate out anything that color. I will...
