The baby Leopard started to eat more, no more nose discharge. But the month that I have her, she hasn't grown at all.
She has same enclosure conditions ( per Toms recomendations), but still no growth.
I am worried that something is wrong.
Vet said it is not sick.
Well, I have to go see a vet.
She is not getting better. Also the other one started to show same symptoms.
A guess she got it from me outting both in same box for transport to get them soaking.
Now I jave two sick tortoises
A small update on other Sulcata that I got from same breeder. She is doing fine, growing fast.
But I guess here where I live breeders have no clue how to raise hatchlings.
A month ago I got myself a 14 day old Leopard hatchling, who was started somewhat correct in a humid inviroment has now...
Breeder is from Austria who keeps Sulcatas just for hobby. He had a clutch and I bought one from him, and the other was a gift from him to my daughter.
And also I will not be buying another one when the sick one dies. I will keep just one and make the best possible enviroment for her.
Yes the sick one is about 14 days older.
In my country there is no exotic animals vet, only for cats, dogs, cows....
I think this one will not make it. She started to lose weight. Only this week she lost 3 grams, from 25 grams to 22grams.
As it turned out, this baby has mbd. And it has gotten so far that I have to tube feed her.
Breeder has started this one wrong. As soon as she sucked yolk sack hatchlings were outside. The other one I got as soon as she was without yolk and is doing great. Same enviroment same UVB, same temps,.....
I don't think this one is doing great. Why is it white betweene scutes? But only bottom. On top no growth at all. One month since I got him it is the same weight and size.
I suspected that smaller one is just picky at eating. As it turned out so far I am right. I noticed that she likes to eat clover flowers. Grasses not so much.
I also gave her for test some lettuce and she eats without a problem.
