Hi! I am about to purchase (most likely) a second baby Russian Tort. The one I own at the moment is about 6 months old and the one I might adopt is 8 months old. We don't know the genders. Do tortoises generally get along? Do I need to separate them? Any information helps! Thanks!! Thanks

My Russian Tortoise does well under the basking light at 90-95 degrees. The other side is basically my house's temperature. And I read online (it might not be accurate) that the humidity should be anywhere from 20-60. Mine is around 40. :D

Try putting a dark colored rim around the bottom of the tank that goes up a few inches. I am going to try that because I've noticed that my tortoise has been doing the same thing. Also, I would say (but I'm not sure) that 95-100 is the MAX basking temp. I keep my tort's from 90-95. By the way, a...

Well the basking spot in mine is about 95 degrees and the rest of his tank is my house's temp, somewhere around 70 degrees. Also if you do put a thermometer in there put it near his shell height. :D
