I did notice when I first got him he didn't like to eat in front of me and I wish I knew about the half log a long time ago. But now he is comfortable around me and he will go right go his feeding rock every time I go by his tank

I will definitely try guppies they sound like a good food source and easy to keep during the winter. It also seems like fun to watch them catch the guppies.
