Thank you! Do you put the probe in the middle of the the tank? I’m using an aquarium which I known is not always best but it’s was I’m using for now so what do you suggest to keep humidity up without soaking the bedding? This is the mister I have. I have larger water dishes on both ends of...
I have the stands for both and this is the thermostat/humidity meter I use. You have a suggestion for the ones that turn on and off as needed? I think I need to up to 150 watt CHE as well as 77-78 is about as high as it gets. Also for humidity how do you feel about a Fogger/humidifier? My mister...
If I run both CHE on the automatic thermostat do you have a recommendation for one? I saw one that includes humidity too? I’m thinking of getting a Fogger as my mister seems to get the bedding too wet keeping up with the humidity.
Okay this is what I got at tractor supply today. Please tell me I did right?! They take 250 watt I have a 100 watt Che in it and the other side a 60 but boy the lamp itself gets hot! I feel like the ones from the pet store didn’t get this hot. I may be getting a 150 CHE as my temp is still like...

The 60 and 100 on opposite ends don’t seem to be getting the right temps. With heat gun I’ll find a small area with 80 plus but only in those areas. I use probe type thermometers and humidity readers.
I’ve never heard of radiant heat panels? How do those work? Where should I look for one. As someone else stated they wouldn’t use both Che in the dual dome fixtures but if I’m swapping each side and never using at the same time do you feel that’s alright?
So do I need a 150 Che? Or can I run 2 separate hoods at the same end one with the 100 and 1 with the 60? Almost everywhere I have read has said they need a cool end. If I covered the cool end completely would that heat be enough for the cool end? I’m also being recommended to try heat pads for...
Sorry for all the post but I’m truly driving myself crazy with this! I have 100 watt Che on my warmer end and 60 on cooler end. Cooler end stays around 72-74 and warmer end around 76-78. Humidity stays between 70-85% on both ends. Is this good? I don’t have baking he doesn’t like bright lights...
I have always had bad anxiety about fires since my sister apartment caught fire so of course I get a cherry head redfoot that requires high temps. My questions is, is it safe to use the ceramic heat emitters in regular dome lamps like pictures? Or do I need the wire ones? I won’t be leaving the...
Thank you! My new question is are the hooded type lamps okay for the ceramic heat emitters? My temp is staying at 77-78 now and I don’t have a basking spot as I was told I don’t need it. He’s a cherry head redfoot if that makes any difference. I’m doing much better with the humidity! I’m too...
I’m sorry I wasn’t being clear. Now that’s how I’m misting. Before I had that thing going every 30 minutes to an hour for like 50 seconds. Once I removed the basking bulb that helped tremendously! I’ll send over some photos this afternoon. I used foil tape over the gaps of the mesh where the...
I have it set for to spray 6 seconds every 5 hours and then I turn it off at night and back on in the morning I use 100 watt ceramic at one end and 60 at the other end. At night I run a different 100 watt on the warmer end.
