    Flakes in tortoise poop

Hi All, I was soaking my 1 year old Russian Tortoise and it poops in the water. But then I noticed this 'flakes' floating on the water. And the poop was not 'hard' as normal. Is this something I have to make emergency vet appointment or I can wait and see if it stops over the weekend...

    Puffy neck and legs

There is nothing between the wafer board and the tortoise. I informed at the store and it should not be harmful for tortoises. This company is selling these terrariums for years so I trusted the guy.

How to (force) feed 27 weeks russian tortoise

I bought in pots in the petshop so I assumed that it is good for animals to eat. I ordered a wooden terrarium 120x50x60 cm. It is not open on the top. As I read that they keep the warmth and humidity better than the glass one. I have to go read about the temps etc and find the right ones...

How to (force) feed 27 weeks russian tortoise

Hi All, thank you for the comments. I took Mihai to the vet cause he/she stopped eating and had diarrhea. We went to the vet and she gave medicine against flagellates. She told that the shell is too soft so for this I have to give this purina. After Mihai stopped eating again and had worms...

How to (force) feed 27 weeks russian tortoise

Hi All, I am new on this forum. My name is Liesje and we (Mihai, and me) live in the Netherlands. I got Mihai, a russian tortoise, as a present in September when he/she was around 13 weeks old. I was not prepared for this at all and I did not (still don't) have a clue how to take good care of...
