Hi all, please can someone recommend the best substrate for a 4 year old marginated tortoise. And, Ive posted recently about health concerns and it seemingly hasnt got better can anyone determine what is wrong with it , charges around, seems to struggle breathing , but then stops moving...

I know it is very basic ive been looking at what to upgrade it too to make it bigger more enrichment etc

Hes eating mixed leaves at moment, and always calcium put on it

Depends, sometimes sleeping under lamp all day and hasnt moved when come home, sometimes hes really active

Should i be concerned by this, his shell has started to lift on the bottom and its still very soft hes 4 years old, and obviously the red bits are off concern, does anyone have any recommendations on what to do and what i can do to help him? The shell is lifting along bottom and im concerned for him

hiya, my tortoise has a few very small bits of red on the underside of his shell and im worried if its causing harm or any concern to the tortoise(should be visible in the picture although not the best quality)

Im not sure if the picture is clear as my phone is damaged severely, however, Are these marks bad?, they are like openings/marks on the shell, Is it bad and do i need to change anything?

I came home and my marginated tortoises eyes were cloudy, ive noticed it recently, and hjs plant and water bowl were moved quite a lot, is this a cataract or something severe?

I was trying to scrape some polish gently off my marginated tortoises shell, and it appears after there are 2 very small scratch marks. They dont look to be deep at all, and im wondering if he'll be okay. It was a complete accident and there was a thread on another forum about scraping it off...
