Yes the sink is in the basement in very deep so he should not be able to get out. I used fresh water so it should not be dirty and I will see if maybe I need it a little warmer. Thanks for your suggestions!

I'm not understanding the whole soak idea. I thought it was supposed to be a nice relaxing time for them to go to the bathroom and get hydrated. My tortoise hates bathes. He cant go 5 min without trying to get out. Am I doing it wrong? Any ideas.

My substrate is just dirt and play sand. Not sure why it's so chunky, some chicks are just dirt stuck together so that's not a big deal. Will watch to see if he tries eating at little rocks. Here is a better pic of the railing and you can see the water dish.

I do have a water dish under the second level stairs so that's why u can't see it. And there is also a railing on the steps we made from sticks! I'll try and get a better picture tonight. Thank you
