Hi guys, thank you for the reply. Ok so this is a very severe fungal infection then. I have started to give all the other turtles Acrivlafine and brushed them all with Povidone Iodine and I dry dock them at night. Until now only one of them is more severe, it has some kind of thick flakes on its...

Need help to identify turtle illness and what medication to administer

Hi, I have a diamondback terrapin that died because of an illness that I am unable to identify. He was suddenly floating on the pond lifeless with all of his skin covered with things like (maybe) fungi. Several days ago his skin seemed normal, but he was basking more often than usual, about 90%...

    G.Hamiltonii and Diamondback Terrapin compatibility

Hi all :) I am interested in breeding G.Hamiltonii turtle. I have a pool with a rough size of 3m (L) x 1m (W) x 1.1m (H), 3/4 of it is filled with water, and the rest is the land part (sand). I want to buy a mature pair of G.Hamiltonii from a friend of mine with a very very reasonable price...

    Sulcata coloring

It's JKK tortoise stick and I think it's only available in Indonesia. But seriously, I prefer to believe that it is genetics or the amount of sun that do this. Here is the link to the product just in case if you are curious: http://jinkuraku.blogspot.com/2014/05/jkk-tortoise-stick_12.html

Keeping different species together? no drink? photocycle importance?

Ok, so I have a friend who has been keeping tortoises (indian star, radiated tortoise, sulcata, aldabra and red footed tortoise) for a long time, he is keeping them all together indoor, no direct sunlight and he only brings them outside twice a week (weekend). He is using 3 big wattage lightings...

Indian star nasal discharge only when afraid... RNS?

Hi all... I just got my new indian star tortoise two days ago, he is 1.5 years old, before I bought him I've already inspected everything and there was no sign of illness. He is a very shy little guy and excrete a lot (feces, urine and urate) together when you pick him up... nonetheless, he is...
