Speedbump taking a walk in the snow for the very first time in his life :) I was worried he will get frost bite on his toes . Best thing we did is build him that night box .

BTW Tom your night box idea is working awesome with Speedbump he has never been happier in winter :) Hubby did build a 4x6 and Speedbump was out and about today getting some grass he even went out in the snow :) Happy Tortoise = happy keeper = ME :)

Hi I was reading and noticed some people referring to Suldan sulcata and other names . So my question is are there different strains within the Sulcata breed ? If so what are the differences . Thank you

going to try the dry grass clippings for next winter I got plenty of room in my outdoor building to hang the bags . looks like it hydrates very good .

I am trying something new this year so far so good . I bagged and froze hibiscus leaves and blooms pumpkin leaves cactus leaves and a lot of mixed grass/weeds from the local hay fields , dandelion too. I defrost some and add it on top of his hay . Today he had grass/ weeds and pumpkin...
