I know for sure I plan on changing the substrate i'm using

I bought jungle mix from petsmart but it has little wood chips in it that stick to my turtle Rambos skin so i'm just wondering what everyone has found works best with box turtles I was thinking about doing a mix of the coconut fiber top soil but just wanted some opinions first thanks! :)

Okay I'll try the vitamins and soak him as often as I can he just buried himself under the substrate so I'll have to go find him haha but thank you for all the info I'll look into the new thermometer

He does have a heat lamp and a uvb I'm not sure what type it is but i was going to switch to the all in one bulb that did the heat and uvb. How often should i be soaking him? I know he was dehydrated when I got him but I soaked him two days ago and today he also has a soaking bowl in his tank...

Does anyone else have a problem with their turtles running into the walls of the tank? I've only had him for a couple days, and he a rescue. But he just started this morning and wont stop running into the walls.
