Well the Indian uvb lamp from amazon has a quality that it can literally burn the rocks in the enclosure or give the tortoise/turtle a eye infection. And there isn't a basking lamp available

So its necessary to have a basking lamp and not let the sun do the job?

I did some research about stars and they just said that the enclosure temperature shouldn't reach more than 100°F. It isn't even that hot outside so I thought its OK to not have a thermometer.

Temperature? I only leave the enclosure in a spot where there is some sunlight, I don't see temperature. Am I suppose to?

Haven't replaced the soil yet because of school, might do it Saturday. Until then I kept him in an big empty container.

Do I mix any other soil of just use that?

Is Coco Fiber suitable?

I am just using normal garden soil that I bought from a gardener.

My tortoise was doing fine in its new enclosure until some of the dirt went in its eye. I tried to clean it off with a tissue and still didn't work. I soak it in Luke warm water and it maybe worked? When I got back from school I went to feed it some coriander and it woke up with only one eye...

This is his enclosure, its waaay bigger in person. Not many things to do. Might add more soon.

We don't use a bulb since according to a star tortoise owner, Sunlight is sufficient. And we just arranged his enclosure yesterday. And during the night we keep him in an empty tub since the soil may get cold.
