Have you checked with vet for parasites? obstruction? With heat or uva lisghts especially important for himidity..
At least with mine a red foot, I have humidifier going all the time...
I gave happy mojo drugs to kill the parasites..twice..as they were bad when I got him from Petco..He is doing wonderful..just hard opening the beak..but reptile vet was a great coach as it can harm hearing if done wrong..might ask vet to help. advice?
prefer no tank..as the reflection is not good..why not a plastic sweater container until yu can find him suitable tortoise table..wood..I use the smaller uva/uva as you dont want him too hot..Is he hiding in the shade for a moderate spot? Im in the Idaho area..our weather is 30s now..and Mojo...
Wehn I bought "happy Mojo" from Petsmart..loose stools..quickly took him to reptile vet..loaded with parasites..with med doing well; might want to get him checked out..worth the effort..Mojo has put on tortie bulk..happy healthy and known a the red foot heart throb to the girl red foots..ha ha
My red foot "happy mojo" does that too occassionally. Hes around 4 yrs...I put organic unrefined extra virgin non gmo coconut oil on his neck just a little bit..and it works. Mke sure with cotton to wipe off any excess. I use it myself for dry skin too..(walgreens).Hope that helps..I think its...
Im s newcomer..how do I do that..today hes going to bathroom normally..and crawling on pillows? I think of..and eating too..no more packaged greens for us.
Mojo my red toe tortoise..ate 3 or 4 servings of organic leafy green..got an email from Albertsons..recall ie: possible ecoli? what do I do? I washed before giving to him.

+everyday I soak a small amount of pellets and mix with fruit and vegetables..remember they dont have teeth..of course mine is a red toed..and of course lots of flowers and greens to munch on throughout the day.
