Thank you so much for the advice, want to keep my baby 🐢 healthy, will replace the substrate with orchid bark & get some greenhouse type covering to go over the cage , will also invest in a humidity monitor. Will send you a photo once completed .

Hi , thank you for your reply & advice , always appreciate any help , I’m using tortoise soil at the moment & want to gradually change to orchid bark as I’ve heard this is a better option .

I’m looking at putting a section of orchid bark in my 8 month old Herman’s enclosure is this a good idea and if so any suggestion as to what one and where to buy , I live in the uk

I am a new owner of a 7 month old Hermann's tortoise, I’m looking forward to the summer coming when we have an abundance of dandelion flowers , would it be ok to dry out some for feeding as a treat In the winter , I have a dehydrator. Would appreciate your views . Thank you
