Feeding dehydrated dandelions

I am a new owner of a 7 month old Hermann's tortoise, I’m looking forward to the summer coming when we have an abundance of dandelion flowers , would it be ok to dry out some for feeding as a treat In the winter , I have a dehydrator. Would appreciate your views . Thank you

I dry different leaves for winter feeding. You can also buy dried flowers and weeds for tortoises, some are used like a food topper
So yes you can.

The flowers are okay, but the leaves and stems are what you want. Yes you can dry them out and use them later, along with a whole host of other weeds and leaves.

Hello! Don’t suppose we could get an insight on how you keep him whilst you’re here? It’s always wonderful to see with newer membersyou don’t have to answer all of these!

What are your temperatures like all over? Ie basking temp(directly under the bulb), overall day temps(middle and cooler side), night temps?
What kind of basking bulb is being used specifically? Packaging photos are good if you have any
Do you use indoor uv? If so what kind?
How’s humidity?
What’s his substrate?
What kind of monitoring do you have?
What’s his diet been like with you?
