My babies have grown so much in the past year, from 60 grams to 492 grams. Don't know if this is normal but they seem happy and healthy.

I am a long time tortoise lover but a first time tortoise Nana. I can and do spend hours each day interacting with my babies. Since the weather is warm we spend a lot of time in the yard. This gives me a chance to see their different personalities and interact with them individually. I call one Sargent because it seems like he patrols the perimeter of the enclosure from time to time. The other one I call Yaya, just because. Of course, I don't know what gender they are but for now that is what I am calling them. Who knows, they may even be transgender as that seems to be the topic of the day.
The rest of my day I spend with my daughters and grandchildren or the internet. I have raised chihuahuas for the last 40 years and have several. The tortoises and chihuahuas ignore each other most of the time except when they have to see what the other one is eating. So far that is not a problem. I do like to make beaded jewelry but haven't done much of that since I got "the kids" (tortoises). Life is good and I am blessed.
