Thank you everyone. His eye is completely healed now, and a few of the vets I reached out to online said it was definitely a mosquito bite. Ointment fixed it right up.

Update: behaviour still normal, eating and pooping fine. Eye a little less red, but still seems a bit puffy. Other eye normal. Picture attached.

Hi. I'm freaking out. Tortoise is behaving normally, but one eyelid is reddish purplish. This is my child so please help. I have no idea how he would have hurt himself.

My russian tortoise has had the white squiggles that seem to be under the shell for some time. He shows no signs of being ill, doesn't smell bad so I don't suspect fungus, and loves his food and bath time. Please have a look and tell me if it's a nutritional deficiency or if he needs more UVA/UVB.
