Hi ya . Do not be so hard on yourself unfortunately the mortality rate in hatchling is quite high and this is why we do not get them registered in the u.k until they are 2 years , and this is why the tortoise lay lots of eggs because some just will not thrive . Very sad for you must heart...
Hi , I really do not know , the lady who gifted me the egg said we have to bring him back to her in 2 years so she can register him/her and get him microchips, then i can get all his paper work and we can trace where he has come from etc. Sadly to say we do not have to register them for 2 years...
