Just pay attention on this and then choose whatever you like.
My preference would be radiated tortoise, though. They are much more hardy than indian star in my personal experience. For intranuclear coccidiosis, among the imported radiated in my country, I really never heard hobbyists...
I still wouldn't do that with any snake around the neck though. At least not with any constricting snake.
Well, yeah, snake keepers know that ball pythons are among the most docile snakes and hardly ever bite their owners, unless in shedding mode.
But I read another forum before, a stressed...
TSA just playing ignorant. I'm sure they already notice this forum here.
Well, at least we all here know you bring the first breeder to successfully breed this species out of its habitat.
Hi there, if you can get this species, pangshura tecta is a really peaceful turtle. So far I never see they become aggressive toward other species.
My friend who is breeder of this species also has same opinion.
I think eventually they will serve as fish steak for your turtle. Another thing, chinese algae eater not really good for algae control, especially when they grow up. Siamese is okay.
Instead, use UVC filter or control your ammonia level to reduce algae inside your tank.
Good luck on your search for hamiltonii.
Does anyone from this forum have this species? I love this turtle, but I don't have big enough pond for it. They grow big!!
Of course, the level of toxicity is not enough apparently if you use correctly against fish or turtle. But all algaecide usually have harmful effect to living cells and can be irritant to fish or turtle. Of course it won't kill them, but I would rather not use it.
On the other hand, there is so...
No idea, but I think all algaecide is harmful. Add a UVC filter, it will help kill algae for sure and sand filter is mechanical filter, it won't work on algae.
I wonder how much ammonia in your water. It looks like your water not cycled well to have that green algae.
Sorry it's taken me a while to post the picture. I've been pretty busy here and there. Please take a look and share your opinion whether the eyes look like normal caramel or the iris is redder than usual and more to the albino line.
Thank you.
I think don't mix acrylic with glass for the four main wall. Like others say, they just scratch and turn ugly later, but I might use the acrylic to build up the turtle dock and ramp to save cost if that what you wish for.
It's night time here now, I will take a picture tomorrow. I don't have caramel before, so I can't differ how dark the eyes should be, but I assume mine's got quite large red iris..
Anthony, do you have experience with lime albino RES? Do the eyes color stay red till adult? It looks very nice...
