Yep....you have yourself a male and he is flashing his male reproductive organ aka his penis. No more guessing what sex your tort is!

Is it normal?

Yes, all very normal for flashing to occur. It’s only bad if “it” doesnt go back in. But as long as it’s going back inside you are all good, as is your tort.

Ps. In the meantime, do some searches on “prolapse” - this is when the penis does NOT go back in and can be dangerous.

yeah don't worry unless it doesn't go back in; but it may be the tip of the iceberg as mine started like that and now he shows it to me often. so don't freak out when he shows it all. I freaked the first time as my son said "Gamera is having a baby"... Nope...
It was a daily thing, now it is about every other day. I pick him up, he drops it like an anchor. Congrats on the baby boy! :)

These are the times I tell Skurt to just be a girl lol. If he drops his junk on me ever I’m having a serious conversation about consent with him!!
My water turtle popped his junk out first time other day and it was so traumatizing I now feel like I need to see a therapist

The first time Lola did that (in full) I thought he was disemboweling himself!
Frightened the life out of me!

I thought my sulcata was dying and possibly choking to death. Nope, I had just intruded on his moment with the ground.
