It would be hard to do with super glue, especially for a lay person. The two sides would need to be cleaned up well and then held immobile while the glue is applied and sets. I believe there would be a chance that an inexperienced person might actually glue the upper jaw to the lower one so that the tortoise couldn't open its mouth at all.

Just curious where in CO you live. I have lived in Crested Butte and Colo. Springs but came back east in 1973 because CO was getting too crowded for my liking.

Good thoughts! Thanks. I'm just trying to brainstorm something to help the tort... It needs intervention before it cracks farther and gets infected. .. and its got to hurt.

I'm in the foothills west of Denver, but went to college in Alamosa, and lived several other places (mostly the Eastern Slope) for a year or two over the years,

If you think it was crowded when you were here.... * eye roll *

The places I like to live are out in the wickers, and now even those (where for much of my life they couldn't even get people interested in thinking about living there) are in short supply and priced exorbitantly. There is almost nowhere where there isn't light pollution. The personality of the populace has changed quite a bit, not as "Western" as it used to be. (Not an improvement in my opinion.)

My cousin used to live in Golden and my roommate from dental school practices in Golden. One of my Army friends was from Alamosa and I believe he went back there to practice dentistry after we left the Army. His name is Tom Warrington. I'm sure you must know him (LOL).
