Oh, of course. I'm looking at a nice laundry basket, or a cat crate when my tortoise is fully grown.

I'll put a wash cloth or towel on the bottom, just to absorb any jostling. A shopping bag for sure would be better with a towel. The carrier looks gargantuan next to him :) It's 6" x 9" and he's 2.5" x 2."

Nowhere yet. Just a place to put him while i clean his living area, or before his daily soak outside in the sun. The carrier is still too big, but he'll grow into it.

I use the calcium powder. Recently, I bought the Zoomed Tortoise Block and my tortoise is attracted to the smell of it and on occasion, bites small pieces of it.

Thanks for your opinion. Your being an experienced keeper of both species, and caring for captive breds, your knowledge is helpful.

Great idea to put a towel in there to cushion the ride. When my tortoise get bigger, I'd like to take them to the park to munch on clovers and dandelions.

What type of carrying crate do you use for your leopard tortoise? I guess one of the main considerations is your tortoise's size.

So turnip greens are the most nutritionally compact if I buy. If i pick wild, i should go for weeds, like grasses. Mines seems to zero in on clovers.
