I've found as time goes on he doesn't like to eat early in the day. Is this normal? I have his lights on a timer. It will go on at 9 AM until 9 PM. When he does eat, he eats quite a bit. Just curious.

My russian tortoise is 10. And generally healthy. But in the last few weeks he isn't basking, at all. He is eating and going potty. I have him in a rubber tote and it's about 35x15. And while it's not huge he hasn't had issues. I soak him every day. I have a UV light as well as a flood light...

When I sprinkle the calcium supplement he seems to just move the food around. That being said I'm not sure how much of the supplement he's getting. Is this something I should worry about?

Jamie, I'm in the same boat. I'm at my girlfriends' every weekend. Maybe that's why he eats so much. Seriously, I think one of two days away should be fine but I'd like to hear from others on this matter.
