Advice needed please. I live in the Chicago area and will be going away a few times over the summer. Probably 2 weeks at a time. Any suggestions on where I can book my tortoises in to be looked after?

I have 2 male Russian torts with a new indoor and outdoor enclosure so wanting a female to keep them company. Ideally would like to breed them.

I have 2 Russian torts, one I've had 6 years and successfully hibernated, another ive had 6 months.
Should I turn their heat lights off now and get them to slow down. Stop all food in a few weeks then 4 weeks later hibernate them?

Long story short. I've had a male torti for 7 years, bought 2 new ones which I thought were females 6 weeks ago. One of them passed away :( and since then the other 2 have started butting each other. Do you think she is a he?
I've expanded their outdoor enclosure so the don't meet each other...
I was told by my vet to remove the sand from both the indoor and outdoor enclosure. I replaced it with bark bits which I purchased from a pet store. Should I dampen it slightly?

:( sad the tortoise we purchased from petco died today. We took her to the vets but unfortunately we lost her. I then looked on the web and saw how petco keeps their animals, terrible.
I'm now really concerned for my 7 year old torti. The vet was unsure what had caused her death and was wanting...
