Changed around snappy's enclosure cause he alway's wanted in a corner that I fenced off previously. I know the two front sides are too low but it makes it hard for my daughter to get him out so I took it down and he has not even tried to get out and we have had it like this for quite a...
Ya looks good, I just switched to a dirt/aspen bedding mixture and our russian seems to like it and we also planted some organic garden seeds and it is making it look so natural and also give him some food down the road a little bit.
He has been pretty good since I gave him a new spot to dig nice and deep over by the light. Its kinda funny to see him burrowed in there with his butt in the air! We have made the sides so he cannot get out. It's pretty neat seeing all the plants come up and make it look more natural there...
Looks good! I wish it was nice here in Minnesota so I could get something for my Russian outside! Do you need some type of bottom or have the sides go deep into the ground? Some people have said the torts can dig and get out. Don't know for sure though I am new to all this. Great job though!
Looks good, I am learning with mine yet also, best thing I have done is planted misc garden plants they have only been in there a week now but they are coming up pretty good. That way I know everything he will eat will be organic and fresh, and maybe save a little bit of money for feeding him.
I had changed around my enclosure for Snappy and fenced off a corner to grow misc garden plants for him and he keeps messing with the fence. Is he just want back there to eat or does he want to dig in that corner. Do they like to dig in and burrow where the heat and flouresant bulb is, cause I...
We didn't know much about torts when Santa brought a Russian "Snappy" this year for my 6 year old daughter Brenna. Started looking online for info on him and found this site, read a little bit and found out that the people at petco did not give us very good advise. There is a ton of knowledge...
Thanks again Yvonne. We put some rocks in to climb on and changed his substrate to aspen bedding with black dirt so I hope that helps. He really seams to like it all. He seams alot more perky lately.
