It was early this morning so I didn't think I would see any gophers but then I found this one on his way out for the morning. And I also came across this Florida box turtle. Some other random burrows with no one out yet.

What would cause this this? I just noticed yesterday a seperation in the shell along a growth line that is probably more than a year old. It is the only spot like this on his shell. It is separated just enough to slide my fingernail under it.

Zulu weighed in today, right at 30 lbs. I would have never guessed he would be that much when I got him 14 months ago and he weighed 9 lbs. Here he is on the scale, and some other random pics.
