Is that sand? Because, I deeply despise sand for tortoises, it can cause impactions which are very bad for tortoises and can easily be ingested.

Top soil is great, I use it for my Russian and he loves it! Sand is iffy, 70% soil and 30% sand they say is an okay choice, but sand can cause impactions and those are very bad, personally I would stick to topsoil.

Thanks Wellington, the whole bookcase was really cheap, only $20 dollars on rollback. I'm going to assemble it tomorrow and my other neighbor has a tortoise also, to my surprise and is going to give me some fake plants to decorate it with : ) I can't wait!

I got the bookshelf! Since I have to assemble myself, I don't have to worry about taking out the shelves, and it doesn't seem too hard to put it together. I'll post pictures of the finished product tomorrow, and I didn't have to go to goodwill, they have cheap and nice and big bookshleves at...

Thanks for the suggestion, my mother already agreed on the bookshelf idea, so I'm going with it, it's rare that my mother agrees to it, we are going to the goodwill tomorrow and other thrift shops to find a good bookshelf, thank god for these suggestions, thanks again.

Thanks, now I just have to do some work and gain money, plus since I'm buying a bookshelf from goodwill or thrift shop, they will be much cheaper.

Update: I brought it up during lunch, my mother thought about it then said "If you can pay for it, I will allow you do do the bookshelf enclosure". Since I talked to my neighbor earlier that day about it, she said since her daughter thinks about me as an older sister, she will pay me to babysit...
