My leopard tortoise seems to be attracted to these but I have no clue what they are or if they are safe. [hr] I did some research and the first plant looks like henbit but I still can't find anything that looks like the other two.

I'm not sure about the plants. I have always used fake plants. I wouldn't use an under tank heater either. Safe temps for cresteds are between 65-80. If your house stays between 70-75 that should be perfect. A heat lamp next to their cage should be okay as long as their cage does not get...

Wow! I have heard stories about the giant yellowfoots at the zoo but I have never seen them in person.

I use mulch with my russians. They burrow in it and it's not as messy. I am not sure what to do about the water bowl.
