Actually the breeder said the were incubated to be male/ female but as they have gotten older not sure if I have 2 males or e females . My redfoots as easy to sex because of the concave plastron on the males .Haven't noticed this on my Burmese yet?

Lots of changes in the last couple yrs. Accepted early retirement package & moved from Galveston county to the Texas Hill country. The tortoises now have a 40ftx40 ft outdoor enclosure. They love it here. These are my 2 Burmese mountains . Also have 4 redfoots.

Anyone have a photo of the plastron on a male MEE? Thought I had a male & female but now I think I have 2 females /@ 5 yrs old no indication of plastron concavity ? My redfoot males have it big time .

Actually my torts get weight management dry cat foot once a week , They get it every Sunday as a treat .I use the BLUE Wilderness weight management cat food

Started with the rescue for PETCO 2 males in 2010 , They were 4"-4 1/4" when purchased .The big Female redfoot & a smaller Female were also rescued from PETCO @ 7 1/2" & 4" SCL...

Got to looking & growth chart record & actual hatch date on my Burmese was 9/2010 & I purchased them 10/2011 .
Nice day today so I went out to the enclosure with tape measure .
The larger one is 13" SCL & the smaller is 10" SCL .Found the camera & tomorrow if weather permits I will get pictures...
Well Yvonne when I first got her I was told she was a male LOL . She actually did dig a hole & buried them really well , If it wasn't for my wife spotting her unusual behavior I probably wouldn't have even seen the nest .She was very good at covering the sight when finished
Well after 4 yrs of waiting My big female BUBBA 11" SCL has finally laid her first clutch ,
Dug up 6 eggs this morning & put them in the incubator . Why can't they lay in the spring & give the eggs a chance to hatch Naturally?

Seems last year they had a growth spurt & grew 2 inches in 1 yr .
They do consume lots of Mazuri though
