Male or female?

Anyone have a photo of the plastron on a male MEE? Thought I had a male & female but now I think I have 2 females /@ 5 yrs old no indication of plastron concavity ? My redfoot males have it big time .

Give me a few minutes. I have a male Mee, but he's been with the females for several years now and I've never seen him trying to breed. I thought he started to show interest a couple months ago, but then nothing. I'll go get some pictures and be right back.

Notice the larger gular on the male on the left, and the rounder, softer 'U' of the anal scutes.



Sorry they're so dirty. They live like wild animals. All I do is pick up poop, water and feed.

If you held my feet to the fire, I'd GUESS that your top picture is male. But I think you're going to have to wait another year or so to know for sure.

Thanks a bunch Yvonne ..Wasn't sure what you meant by gular but now I see what you mean ... Well I got time & if I got 2 females & they are ok living together I am OK with that
