Do the babies even notice if there is a routine? Example: I wake up about 7:30-8 Get him in his soak, then let him warm up under his lights (or outside if the it's not too hot outside in the morning) and feed him "breakfsast". ..I noticed that I sometimes pull him out of his hide to put him in...
I'm not sure how he did it but I just found him on his back!! Will he be ok? I flipped him right over and he started walking around. I looked at him about 8 min ago and he wasn't on his back...sometime between 8 minutes and now he flipped!! :( Anything I should watch for? Should I spray him...
I know that when my human babies start to eat more than normal, it means a growth spurt...Well I usually give Crush some food about the size of him and he will only eat a between 1/3 and 1/2 of it....well today he ate ALL of it and then I gave him some more in the evening and he immediately...
I have a lot of dead dry grass along the edges of my backyard...I'm guessing the answer will be no, but I figure I will ask anyway..Can my sulcata eat it even though its dried out?..will it do anything for him? Or would it be pointless to try giving it to him? Thanks!
We might be moving back to where it snows during the winter...So naturally I am curious as to what any of you that do live in snow (in the winter) do with your sulcatas? Especially when they get big...
I've been seeing a lot of people are in Arizona...I was wondering where in Az you guys are all from?
We just moved back to Phoenix in December. We lived here for a few years ago for 3 years...
So Tom said putting Crush outside in the hot AZ sun is probably not good for very long...Right now it's nice and shady in the backyard and 80 F....Would Crush be ok out there now? and is it the direct sun that's a problem or the actual high temp? (not the temp now, but when it gets hotter) Like...
all the temps are fine...his cool side is 80, warm side is about 100...but i can not seem to keep the humidity steady and/or raise it up...it fluctuates between 40% and 70%. :( I go in there with a spray bottle and spray things down and it helps a little bit...Would moss help? I'm thinking maybe...
So...I'm a new tort mommy..and I'm sitting in here worrying about Crush being outside alone. I know he is fine, but the mommy in me is worrying. Is there a time limit on how long he can be out there? Or a minimum he should be out there? I feel like I have a newborn baby!
He was all about his lunch! First time I'm leaving him outside alone for a little while...When I checked on him, he had climbed completely into his food dish to dig in...too bad I didn't have my camera on me to take a pic of it!
So I went to get some thermometers and a hygrometer and ended up getting this box of goodies that was meant for snakes but it had a lot of stuff that you would use for tortoises....like the thermometers and hygrometers, a spray bottle, another dome lamp thing...and a heat mat. Can I use the heat...
We have to go out of town for 2 days this weekend. It will be out of state.. So I am not sure if we are allowed to take him over state lines. Hubby says Crush will be fine for 2 days without us...We have no one to watch him. I'm not sure what to do...Any suggestions? :(
this is one of the things I found said about Jicama
"JÃcama is high in carbohydrates in the form of dietary fiber. It is composed of 86-90% water; it contains only trace amounts of protein and lipids. Its sweet flavor comes from the oligofructose inulin (also called fructo-oligosaccharide)...
It's not all the way done, and I'm waiting for some seeds to grow. I'm excited for him to have an area outside to get some sun without having to worry about him running off somewhere!
