    Vinnie update and more questions

I had a baby RES that needed injections when he had the respiratory infection. He wasnt quite that small, but he was maybe silver dollar size. The vet and I agreed that he was too small to inject properly. We ended up going with nebulized medicine. It worked great. He made a full recovery...

Anyone know if a sump pump can be used to drain a tank? My husband has this idea because our syphoning hose doesnt suck very hard. Just curious if anyone uses these or know if it would work. THANKS!

    my new Russian torts

The best food you can give them would be Spring Mix that you find at the grocery store. You should also add weeds such as dandylion as the weather permits. Make sure the spring mix you get doesnt have spinach in it, or pull it out before feeding to them.

    Hello and Help Please! lol

It is pretty normal for tortoises to not eat or drink for awhile when they are first brought home. Mine didnt for 1-2 weeks. I was worried but He eventually got used to the change and he now cleans his plate every day.

New Russian Tortoise Lily (or Silly Lily)

Small amounts of treats are okay as long as they are infrequent. If your spring mix has cabbage or spinach in them, just pull out those items before feeding. I think (though not 100% sure) that the baby food in the water helps when they drink, and also absorbs through the skin.
